Liverpool come from behind at Brentford
Liverpool trailed at half-time after Keane Lewis-Potter headed Brentford in front just before the break. The Bees then lost Yehor Yarmoliuk to a VAR-confirmed red card. Victor Muñoz levelled on 62 minutes from a Florian Wirtz pass, and Alexander Isak, back from a thigh problem, fired the winner eight minutes later. Vitaly Janelt was also sent off late on, as Brentford suffered their first defeat of the season. Liverpool fans can carry the Liver Bird every day with the Liverpool FC Canvas Wallet, AU$20 and in stock.
Neto ends Everton’s unbeaten run
Pedro Neto scored less than a minute into the second half and added another as Chelsea won 2-0 at Everton, handing the Toffees their first loss of the campaign. It was also Chelsea’s first Premier League clean sheet since January. The result was overshadowed by goalkeeper Emi Martínez, who was stretchered off after a heavy head collision with Jarrad Branthwaite. Youngster Mike Penders came on for his Premier League debut. Manchester City beat Ipswich Town 3-2 at the Etihad, but made hard work of it. Phil Foden opened the scoring and Daichi Maeda quickly equalised. Erling Haaland then struck twice to put City in control before Ipswich pulled one back with a late penalty.
Emery reaches 100 as Villa win on Tyneside
Johan Manzambi headed in João Gomes’ cross to give Aston Villa a 1-0 win at Newcastle. The win was Unai Emery’s 100th in the Premier League across his time at Arsenal and Villa. Newcastle were booed off after back-to-back league defeats, and the pressure is building on Matthias Jaissle. Villa fans can raise a glass with the Aston Villa FC 2pk Shot Glass Set for AU$16.
Barça run riot in Seville
Barcelona beat Real Betis 5-2 in La Liga.
